We finally got approval this afternoon from insurance for the CT scan, but it came in so late that we still won't know or get to do anything else until Monday. I am so frustrated...I just want to cry.
CTCA has been wonderful. They pushed and pushed as hard as they could. The had the director of Oncology contact our insurance and push for approval. Now that he's getting the scan but we still have to stay till next week, CTCA even sent a patient advocate to see me who apologized for the delays and gave us a giftcard to Walmart for our trouble. It's totaly NOT thier fault, yet they are STILL going above and beyond to make us feel as comfortable as possible!!! Insurance on the other hand, can suck every rock in my back yard for all I care right now.
So that's it for now. We knew we might be here all weekend yesterday. But then for like 3 minutes after they said we were approved and scheduling scan for today I was all pumped up to finish, to get our answers, to begin fighting, to get home to my babies!! And then on minute 4 they said nope not yet, and I'm just bummed.
